Understanding HART Technology

HART stands for Horse and Rider Technology. Arena’s HART-equipped saddles combine several technologies intended to support horse comfort, fitting flexibility, and rider performance.

• CAIR Cushion System: Provides air-based cushioning designed to respond to the horse’s movement.
• EASY-CHANGE Fit Solution: Allows compatible gullet and riser adjustments to refine saddle width and balance.
• Elastiflex Tree: Provides structural support with controlled flexibility.
• Performance Panel Technology: Focuses on panel contact and the horse’s freedom of movement.
• Comfort Seat Technology: Designed to support rider balance and comfort.

The effectiveness of these features depends on correct saddle selection, fitting, and adjustment.

Why Choose the Arena HART General Purpose Saddle?

The Arena HART General Purpose Saddle is a versatile option for riders who want one saddle for several everyday activities. Its balanced seat and movable knee blocks support a range of riding positions, while its European leather construction provides a classic appearance.

The interchangeable fitting system offers flexibility when adjusting the saddle to a horse’s shape. This can be useful as a horse develops muscle or changes condition, provided adjustments are made correctly and the saddle continues to fit both horse and rider.

Care and Maintenance

To maintain the saddle’s appearance and performance:

1. Wipe away sweat, dust, and dirt after every ride.
2. Clean the leather with a suitable leather cleaner.
3. Apply leather conditioner according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
4. Store the saddle on a shaped saddle rack in a dry, ventilated area.
5. Inspect the billets, stitching, girthing points, and adjustable components regularly.
6. Keep compatible gullet plates and riser components organized.
7. Arrange periodic saddle-fitting checks to ensure the saddle remains suitable for the horse.

Saddle-Fitting Advice

Select a seat size that suits the rider’s build and preferred position. The saddle must also fit the horse, with adequate wither clearance, even panel contact, correct balance, and freedom of shoulder movement.

Although the EASY-CHANGE system provides fitting options, it does not guarantee a correct fit for every horse. Consult a qualified saddle fitter before regular use and whenever changing the gullet or riser configuration.
