Recommended Uses

This saddle may be suitable for riders seeking a CWD saddle for regular schooling or sport riding, provided its design and fit match their discipline. Before purchase, verify whether the exact configuration is intended for show jumping, general schooling, or another riding activity.

The 16-inch seat should be assessed against the rider’s measurements and riding position rather than selected by size alone.

Saddle Fit and Safety

Correct saddle fit is essential for horse comfort and rider balance. Have a qualified saddle fitter assess the tree width, panel contact, wither clearance, spinal clearance, stability, and the saddle’s suitability for the horse’s back.

Before use, inspect the tree, stitching, billets, girth straps, panels, and stirrup attachment points. Do not ride in a saddle with structural damage or components of uncertain condition. Ask the seller for clear photographs of the underside, serial markings, and any repaired or worn areas.

Leather Care and Maintenance

• Clean the leather after riding with a suitable leather cleaner and a soft sponge or cloth.
• Use a compatible leather conditioner according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
• Avoid excessive moisture, harsh chemicals, and prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
• Store the saddle in a dry, ventilated place using a suitable saddle rack.
• Check the billets, stitching, panels, and other load-bearing components regularly.
