Bates Versa Saddle in Classic Black

Product Description

The Bates Versa Saddle in Classic Black is an all-purpose riding saddle designed for riders who enjoy a variety of activities both in and out of the arena. Combining a close-contact feel with an open, supportive seat, it is designed to accommodate different riding styles while supporting rider balance, comfort and stability.

The saddle features a soft, deep, balanced seat that helps the rider find a natural position. Its movable front FlexiContourbloc® and fixed rear thigh support block provide support around the leg, while the Adjustable Ergonomic Stirrup Bar allows the stirrup position to be adjusted to suit the rider’s preferred alignment.

Constructed in an elegant Classic Black finish, the Bates Versa incorporates Horse and Rider Technology (HART), including the CAIR® Cushion System and EASY-CHANGE® Fit Solution. These systems provide cushioning and adjustable fitting options to help accommodate the needs of different horse-and-rider combinations.

The adjustable Y-girthing system is designed to distribute girthing forces and help maintain saddle stability during riding. With its versatile design and refined black finish, the Bates Versa is suitable for riders seeking an all-purpose saddle for general riding, flatwork and a range of arena and outdoor activities.

Fit and Compatibility

Choosing the correct Bates Versa saddle requires consideration of both the horse’s conformation and the rider’s measurements. Seat size alone does not determine whether the saddle will fit correctly.

Before purchasing, confirm the available seat size, exact leather configuration, saddle condition and included fitting components. If buying a used saddle, inspect the panels, stitching, tree, girthing points and adjustment mechanisms.

The EASY-CHANGE® Fit Solution offers adjustment options, but it does not guarantee compatibility with every horse. A qualified saddle fitter should assess the saddle’s balance, wither clearance, panel contact and freedom of movement before regular use.
